Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC)

The college has a student grievance redressal cell. The functions of the cell are to look into the complaints lodged by the students time to time. The grievance redressal cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment).

The Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) has been constituted in the college under “The sexual Harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, prohibition and redressal) act, 2013”. GRC meets on need basis to address any complaints from students, teaching and non-teaching members and takes necessary action. The students approach the Cell to voice their grievances regarding academic and non-academic matters. The cell redresses the grievances at individual and class level and grievances of common interest. Complaints are scrutinized by the management and the grievance redressal cell. HoD/Principal regularly attends to these on daily basis. The college assures students that once a complaint is made, it will be treated with confidentiality.

Objectives

1. A grievance redressal cell has been constituted for the redressal of the problems reported by the students of the college.

2. Upholding the dignity of the college by ensuring strife free atmosphere in the college through promoting cordial student- student relationship and student-teacher relationship etc.

3. Encouraging the students to express their grievances/problems freely and frankly without any fear of being victimized.

4. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the cell members in-charge students.

Activities of the cell

1. The complaints received by the students are redressed timely.

2. Workshop conducted on 1090 women power line.

3. Awareness regarding the safety and security of women and about 1090 power line of the state government.

4. Students are also encouraged by the cell members to share their problems with the cell.

5. Effective solutions are given to the students grievances with an impartial and fair approach by the cell.

6. Two class representatives are elected from each section of the class.
