Chandra Bhanu Gupta Krishi Mahavidyalaya is situated in a pollution free rural
environment at Lucknow-Sitapur-Delhi Highway(NH-24) at about 20 Km in the north
from Charbagh Railway Station and in front of Bakshi Ka Talab railway station,
connected with easily available rail and road transport.
The origin and development of this college goes back to a fascinating idea of
Former Chief Minister of U.P. Late Shri C.B. Gupta, who wished to establish
Agricultural Degree College besides Bakshi Ka Talab Inter College, of which he
was the President.
As such to perpetuate the memory of the Late Shri Chandra Bhanu Gupta, it was
established by the Shiksha Samiti with active support of Bharat Seva Sansthan
also established by Late Sri Gupta. Ex. M.P. and the then president of Bharat
Seva Sansthan, Dr. M. M. S. Siddhu, General Secretary Shri Umakant Mishra and
present President of Bharat Seva Sansthan than and Hon'ble Manager of the
college Sansad Sadasya Shri Bhagwati Singh made strenuous efforts in fulfilling
the wishes of Gupta ji.
On 10th February 1995, the Chief Minister Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav laid the
foundation stone of this college and named it in honour of Late Gupta ji as
Chandra Bhanu Gupta Krishi Mahavidyala, which is registered and affiliated to
C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur and University Grant Commission(UGC).
From 1 July 2009, the college is affiliated to Lucknow University under the
revised Uttar Pradesh State University Act.
